Here come our Gnometti! You’ll find many Gnometti in Loacker’s world of goodness.
The undisputed chief is Mestolo, followed by Ciocolotto, a real chocolate whizz, and Mimmola, the mother of the village. Then there is Cialdino, he can tell you everything about wafers, and charming Vanigliola, who knows everything there is to know about the vanilla flower and the magic of aromas. Nocciolo expertly selects and processes hazelnuts and, last but not least, Quadratolo, the inventor of the Quadratini.

As well as being the head of the Loacker Gnometti village, I’m the guardian of Loacker's secret and the guarantor of its goodness.
I’m a wafer engineer and the inventor of the Quadratini. While on the outside I’m the very image of precision, punctuality and rigor, those who understand me best know that I’m deeply passionate and emotional.
I’m the village's hazelnut expert. I spends my days cheerfully walking through nature, looking for only the best Italian hazelnuts to bring home to share with my friends. Once I get there, I always roasts my hoard according to the ancient family tradition.
Scents are my specialty: I know all the magic of the fragrances. Charming and delicate, I unfailingly remind people of vanilla. My sweetness and the scent of perfume is so beguiling that those who encounter me fall, without distinction, in love.
I’m responsible for the wafer alongside Mestolo. The golden grain, which I select day after day, is as tender and young as I am.
Seen by all as the mother of the village, I pass boundless love and respect for nature to everyone who spends a little time in my company. Whenever one of the Loacker Gnometti is in need of a loving word or a kind gesture, they turn to me.
As a profound connoisseur of all types of cocoa and their use I insist on tasting everything I produce Arguably the only thing I love as much as chocolate is to sing to my friends in the village.
As the youngest member of the village I might initially appear to be shy, but I’m entrusted with one crucial task: expressing Loacker's signature phrase “Che bontà!”, which is the Italian expression of pure goodness. I do this in the truly international language of image and sound: after enjoying a Loacker, I use my finger to make a noise of sheer delight.
I roam the world in search of the very best ingredients which I bring back to my village in my bursting suitcase. I’m cultured, curious, eccentric and above all demanding.
To be a master in all arts from painting to sculpture is no mean feat, but of my many cultivated artistic skills, my finest are those of goodness. Fittingly for my passions, I’m imaginative, sensitive, gallant and romantic, and he brings all of these qualities to his work.
I’m a confectionery expert and I draw my name from the delicious creams I use in my precious recipes. More than able to turn my imaginative hands – and my pastry whip – to any task, I’m both a refined gourmet and a wildly unabashed lover of flavors.
The other Gnometti wonder what it is that makes me so enthusiastic and such an irrepressible sportsman: It must be the milk! Beyond the responsibilities involved in looking after the milk, my favorite time of day comes each morning as I do my energetic regular exercises, happily watching the cows graze in the distance.
I’m a coffee enthusiast. I know everything there is to know about coffee pro-cessing, from how to select it to how to prepare it. You can usually find me at the Loacker Café, cheerfully sharing my expertise with the guests who visit, and ensuring that they are as happy and comfortable as possible.
The Sciliar/Schlern plateau is inhabited by mythological and legendary characters which live in the forests and meadows of the area. Witches, gnomes, giants, and fairies with magical powers roam the land. These stories originate from here, and have been passed down from one generation to the next, recounting how the hills of the mountain have been home to gnomes with special powers for centuries.
The Gnometti’s village is around here somewhere… Yes, but where? Somewhere, didn’t you listen? In a lush, green area at the foot of the Sciliar/Schlern. The Gnometti live in typical, wooden, mountain huts, as Tyrolean as they come, with flowerpots peppering the balconies, and flowers gathered from the surrounding woods. Mestolo’s house and workshop are located right at the center of the village and is the largest building of all of them.
